As you grow as a business owner, you’ll likely use a number of ingredients within your marketing strategy along the way. Online marketing. Social media. Email marketing. And so on and so on. It’s like grocery shopping. Each ingredient has its own nutritional value; its own merit within your marketing strategy. But to truly maximize the flavor and potential in each ingredient, you often need to bring them altogether. That’s why this week’s blog is called ‘The Marketing Stew.’
Consider this example. A client of ours, Jaime Yordan-Frau of Integro Success Unlimited, is a business coach in South Florida. There were many tools available to him that he was using nicely to grow his business – a blog, social media, video, etc. What he had yet to do, though, was use each of the ingredients in unison to add more ‘flavor’ to his marketing strategy stew.
So how did we help? In a number of ways. Take his blog, for example. One thing we aggressively reminded Jaime of was the fact that he’s a dynamic, engaging personality. What an incredible selling point for a business coach! Already a weekly blogger, we worked with Jaime to integrate teaser videos into each blog as a way to showcase the person behind the words and the message. Almost instantly, the open rates of his weekly blog began to rise.
Of course, the blog is emailed just once a week. How would we keep his audience engaged throughout the week? Social media. And instead of a ‘post as you go’ strategy, we worked with Jaime to develop social media content on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter that would integrate his blog, or video, into social media posts throughout the week. The benefits were plentiful. Not only did we drive more traffic to his website and videos, but in doing so, have helped improve his SEO and page ranking.
The reason that the ‘stew’ approach is effective is clear: It forces you to consider how your marketing efforts can work together more efficiently. Can you take a few tasty items and put them together to create something more delicious and flavorful for your business?
